Library

Dante Liverpool will open a small but well-maintained library from Saturday 26th of April as part of our mission to promote the Italian language and culture across Merseyside. We’ve got books in Italian by authors from all over the world (mostly Italian, of course!), and books by Italian authors translated into English!

Our library will be exclusively available to members of our association, offering them access to a wide selection of books, from timeless classics, such as Calvino, Pavese, Morante, D’Annunzio and Manzoni, to contemporary masterpieces.

Our collection also includes in fact numerous Strega and Campiello Prize-winning titles, such as books by Michela Murgia and Donatella Di Pietrantonio as well as essays, young adult literature and children’s books from Mamma Mia Liverpool.

Non-members are also invited to visit us, explore the books in our library, enjoy a cup of tea, and learn more about Dante Alighieri Society’s activities and events.

Members can borrow books for up to one month, giving them plenty of time to immerse themselves in their next great read.

We look forward to welcoming you!
