What a month we’ve had! November was full of flavour, creativity, and community, and we’re delighted to share a quick recap of all the wonderful events that brought us together. Whether you joined us for one activity or many, or if you’re simply curious about what we do at DASL, here’s a taste of the fun we shared!

A Taste of Italy at Il Forno – Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, 20th

We kicked off the month with a special dinner at Il Forno, celebrating the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World. It was an evening filled with delicious dishes, warm conversation, and that unmistakable Italian atmosphere. Il Forno offered a special deal to all DASL members: a lovely way to keep the flavours of Italy alive!

Italian Aperitivo & Conversation – Cose Buone, 25th

Later in the month, we gathered at Cose Buone for a Sicilian aperitivo. Between arancine and spritz we enjoyed chatting in Italian in a relaxed and friendly setting. It was a wonderful chance for learners and native speakers alike to practice the language and connect with others.

Tiramisù Workshop, 27th

Who can resist learning how to make a classic Italian Tiramisù? This hands-on workshop guided participants through every delicious step. The results? A room full of smiles and beautifully layered desserts ready to take home… if anyone managed to wait that long!

Christmas Candle Decoration Workshop, 29th

To get into the festive spirit, we held a Christmas workshop all about candle decoration. Creativity was flowing as participants designed their own seasonal centrepieces, perfect for brightening up winter evenings or gifting to someone special.

Ghirlande Workshop (Book Page Wreaths), 30th

We closed the month with a lovely workshop held in collaboration with the Liverpool European Festival and MammaMia. This time, participants created beautiful ghirlande (wreaths) made from pages of old books, an eco-friendly, artistic, and deeply charming way to celebrate the season. Each wreath turned out wonderfully unique, and the atmosphere was warm and joyful.

Every single event was a success, and we couldn’t be happier with the enthusiasm and warmth of our community.
